Italian Destination Wedding at Camporsevoli in Tuscany

Britt and Daniel met at a dinner hosted by mutual friends. Britt thought Daniel was cute and strategically placed herself near him at the table. The rest is history. After 4 years together they chose to have a destination wedding in Italy, surrounded by those closest to them. They stated that they wanted an elegant, yet low-key wedding. They wanted their wedding week to feel like a family reunion and vacation with the most important people in their lives, and I believe they achieved exactly this. They chose the gorgeous Tuscan Camporsevoli in Cetona, Italy as their venue. Camporsevoli has stunning views, as it is situated high up on a hill, and it is filled with a rich history, with parts of it dating back as far as 3000 years. I was honored to not only capture the wedding day, but also the rehearsal dinner the day before.

One of the most special parts of Britt and Daniel’s wedding was the inclusion of Daniel’s daughter, Mia. Not only do Daniel and Mia have a beautiful and special bond, but Mia and Britt have developed one as well. It was clear they not only saw their marriage as a commitment to each other as a couple, but also as the formation of a family, including Mia. Because of this, Britt chose to surprise both Daniel and Mia during the wedding ceremony with vows to love her as her new step-daughter. It was one of the most moving and unique parts of the wedding day.

Britt, a talented wedding photographer herself, chose to include both digital and film photography as part of their collection. A laid-back schedule with an emphasis on capturing couples pictures between the ceremony and reception, helped this day flow smoothly. The reception consisted of long beautiful tables, and a slow un-rushed dinner, followed by touching speeches made by friends and family. The night ended with hours of dancing on the lawn.
